Merino knit is wonderfully soft due to fine merino fibers. This is a very high quality wool which does not scratch and can be worn directly on the skin. Merino has many valuable properties: Merino is breathable and warming and retains heat particularly well. At warmer temperatures, it cools through evaporation and at colder temperatures it even warms if it is slightly damp without feeling clammy. Merino wool is able to regulate body temperature by transporting moisture to the outside. It is said that significantly fewer odors form and merino wool has self-cleaning properties. It is ideal to let the clothing air out overnight after wearing it.
Merino knit is ideal for hiking, mountain sports, ski clothing/undergarments, and all outdoor sports. In addition to sports and outdoor use, Merino knit is also ideal for conventional clothing of all kinds: dresses, knitted tops, children's clothing and bodysuits, scarves, hats and shawls.
